Why choose R&R Video and Photography?

I'm glad you asked. The people you hire to shoot your wedding can have a tremendous effect on your special day. We understand that shooting your wedding requires great sensitivity, a keen instinct for knowing when to ACT, when to REACT, and when to simply STAY PUT. We also offer a large selection of options that really make your Wedding unique...like "Passages", a mini-movie shown on a large screen at the reception..."Reflections", the story of how you met...your love story similar to "The Wedding Story" on TV  plus the ability to shoot a combination of Video and Photography and so much more!

Why is Archival Master DVD worth investing in?

Durability: Tape is a great medium to shoot in but a poor one to store in.

We use the World's Finest Archival Master DVD's. They are UV treated and more scratch resistant than  DVD's you would buy in a store.

How soon before the wedding should I contact R&R Video and Photography?

Popular summer dates fill up quickly. We recommend booking as soon as possible as it is not uncommon to book 6 months to a year in advance.

What's the advantage to having R&R Video and Photography shoot my wedding?

By combining both Video and Photography on the same job we're able to create a more artistic  product for you. We can sometimes use a beautiful still shot that we took and put it in one of the movies. We also produce Giclee' paintings. We did one recently where we  took a still frame at the end of  our "Perfect Beginning" movie and turned it into a watercolor and produced a beautiful 13x19 Giclee' painting.

Many people choose their Photographers first. It's always an easy add-on if you later choose to have Video. No shopping at the last minute for another company to Video your wedding.

If you are wanting Video only and you've already hired a Photographer, that's no problem. We've shot along side many other photographers and always respect the work they're doing for you.

What's the reason for a 2 Camera shoot in Video and what's the advantage?

We recommend the 2 Camera shoot which gives a more complete video. Let me give you an example. We recently were shooting a wedding where the church was very small. I was shooting the bride and groom from the alter area up front. I got great shots of their vows and exchanging of rings and we captured the audio great but when they turned and walked down the aisle there was no way I could shoot them coming down the aisle. Judy got some great stills of them coming down the aisle that we worked into the "Perfect Beginning" version. Had we been doing a 2 Camera shoot we would edit the video of the 2nd camera into the finished video walking down the aisle.

Will I have a choice on the music used?

We want to make sure that you don't get stuck with music that you'll hate to hear over and over again. During our consultation with you we ask a number of questions and explore your tastes in music.

How far will you travel?

We live in Urbandale, Iowa but will travel anywhere in the USA with travel expenses.
